Dr. med. Helmut Wegmann
I began my medical studies in 1997 at the University of Leipzig. In fact the topic of my interest quickly settled in emergency medicine and traumatology.
Shortly I took part in the intensive care unit of the cardiologic center controlled by the University of Leipzig, starting in 1998.
In the year 2001 I decided to spent a 12 month period studying at the University of Madrid. The so called „Universidad Compultense de Madrid".
There I was able to join the Trauma team of San Carlos Hospital where more than 150,000.00 patients per year are under medical treatment.
Reaching these figures, San Carlos Hospital is one of the most influential emergency Hospitals in Spain.
Short after ending my medical studies by successfully passing the final exams I was able to move on and matriculate at the University of Berne in Switzerland. There aswell I took part in a Trauma team with a medical Treatment rate of more than 30,000.00 patients per year.
I also was a member of the scientific team of Berne´s University and received my doctoral degree for studies on the acute-abdominal-pain.
Now and since 2004 I´m working as a surgeon within the famous private surgical hospital called „Chirurgische Klinik Dr. Rinecker" based in Munich. It has got Bavaria´s biggest surgical department and operates as a teaching hospital for Munich´s Ludwig-Maximilan-University.
A big part of my work does include acting as an emergency doctor. Yet. in the past three years I had more than 1,500.00 out of hospital cases.
„Be better than Yesterday" is my leading motto. I do act on the maxim of a lifelong-learning theorie.
This is one of the reasons why I keep raising my knowledge by attending medical education programms such as specification for intensive-care units, emergency medicine or even pacemakers.
In April 2008 me and my highly commendable colleague Doktor Matthias Biemer established the Compact Emergency Course Organization, short CEC Org.
We provide all different kind of courses under the topic of emergency medicine. We are able to pass on theoratical aswell as practical knowledge concerning emergency cases of adults and children.
Our trainings include resuscitation on puppets aswell as training on the ECG, disaster medicine and toxicology.
Learning by doing is our teaching theme. We constructed a sertain way of role playings for doctors and nurses as we are trying to simplify the understanding of emergency cases.
Our supporting offer includes hospital consulting for Shock-room managment aswell as easy managing of in-hospital emergencies and staff training.
With a big success our bilingual course system has already established in Azerbajian´s capital city Baku. We were able to refresh and deepen the participants knowledge in emergency medicine.
Luckily we are able to offer all our high quality presentations in English, Russian and German. Though of course we are also open and experienced in working with interpreters.
Every of our course is always adjusted to the specific preferences and needs of our clients. Our teaching material is updated on time and taken only from the latest literature.
As our standard we provide scripts and hand-out´s during our courses and participants questions are very welcome.
